First trimester screening for trisomies and preeclampsia

Overview:

We recommend this extended screening for all pregnant women even those who had NIPT done. During Nuchal scan, first trimester ultrasound (CRL 45-83mm), and with your blood test results, we assess risk for Down, Edwards, and Patau syndrome, but also preeclampsia and fetal growth restriction. Blood drawn before the scan (ideally 10-11 weeks) gives immediate results; same-day draw provides results in the next 2-3 working days.

Why Combined Screening?

High-risk results lead to clear recommendations for NIPT, CVS, or amniocentesis. Dr. Tena’s training with Prof. Nicolaides (who discovered nuchal translucency) and our FMC London-identical software provide up to 95% sensitivity for Down syndrome detection – more precise than routine screening.
