UZV vijabilnosti

Early pregnancy ultrasound (up to 11+3, CRL <45mm)

Overview:

Performed usually at 7-10 weeks, this first ultrasound confirms intrauterine pregnancy, detects heartbeat, dates pregnancy, and identifies earliest abnormalities. Usually done transvaginally.

What to Expect:

Sometimes viability scan reveals ectopic pregnancy (embryo outside the womb) requiring special attention. Other times it shows an embryo without heartbeat or no embryo at all. By this scan or a follow-up scan we confirm viability or diagnose miscarriage.
